Lyne Michaud, B.S.W., R.S.W.

Social Worker

Originally from Edmunston NB., she has been living in the Bathurst Area for the past 10 years. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Université de Moncton in 2011.

While studying, Lyne worked at Crossroads for Women with women and children victims of domestic violence. After completing her bachelor's degree, Lyne worked as a Social Worker with Child Protection Services. It is important to note that Lyne is a regional champion for the movement 'L'Amour ne devrait pas blesser' and she actively participates with the LGBTQ+ Movement.

Lyne is the Mind at Peace Center’s full time community outreach Social Worker. She provides clinical services in the Chaleur and Restigouche regions to children, families and individuals in various indigenous communities, at home services and at the Center. She provides support to individuals who find it too hard to come forward at the Center for services remaining at all times professional and ethical. Lyne is the perfect candidate for this new service, she loves doing things differently while thinking outside the box bringing support and therapy to individuals.

Lyne is also the casual, biker girl of the Center. This makes her incredibly laid back, down to earth and understanding in her clinical approach. Do not let this facade fool you, she is quite knowledgeable and very competent in her profession..
